How to Add Network Drive on Windows 10?

Creating a network drive is the simplest solution when you have a lack of space in the built-in computer storage. You don’t have to open the PC case, and, meanwhile, the space available for storing files will increase. Wired or wireless storage can be used to share files with family members.

Why to Add Network Drive on Windows?

If your PC’s HDD or SSD is running low on storage, you can configure the external drive as a network drive. Movies, songs, and files from your network drive are available even when your computer is turned off. If you give access to family members, they can open videos and other files on their computers. In some cases, you may need to change the drive letter on Windows machine.

A network drive is convenient because you don’t have to keep your PC powered on all the time. A storage device connected to a computer via a network is a hardware device separated from a PC. If Windows crashes, errors occurred during software installation, or the built-in disk of the computer breaks down, the data on the network drive will be saved.
